Digital marketing is a complex field that can be difficult to navigate. There are many tools available designed to make the processes easier, but some marketers find it difficult to choose which ones they want for their workflow.
I've been a Digital Marketer for the past six years and still counting. I had my fair share of software trials, unused subscriptions, and regrettable purchases on a few platforms. So in this blog post, I will cover my favorite digital marketing tools, excluding those within social media platforms like Facebook Insights, and what made me choose them.
CoSchedule

Jarvis AI
Marketers spend hours every week trying to come up with engaging content for their projects. It can be a real pain in the neck because hello, Writer's Block! But now there’s Jarvis AI, which is an AI-powered software that helps marketers and writers generate engaging blog posts, product descriptions, and ad copy.
With Jarvis AI, you can create content in minutes instead of hours or days. It even learns from your style and tone of voice as it goes along so that every piece of content sounds like it was written by an actual human being! Plus, the more you use it, the better it gets at creating content for your brand.

Canva
We, marketers, know that creating marketing materials can be time-consuming, so Canva made it easy for anyone to create beautiful designs. With its drag and drop interface, you can easily design everything from social media posts to invitations in minutes. You don’t need any graphic design skills or expensive software – just an idea of what you want to achieve.
Whether you're looking for inspiration or ready-to-use templates, Canva has got you covered. Their library is full of free layouts and photos that make designing anything quick and painless. It's a free platform but upgrading to a premium plan has its perks that's why I upgraded mine.
Why I use Canva:
- The premium plan is affordable and the features are worth it such as the Background Remover (Magic Eraser-ish in Photoshop) and the Magic Resize.
- Canva made making collaterals a lot easier with its premade templates and sizes. I no longer have to rely on notes stickied on my desktop with the image sizes and dimensions I need to create.
- You can also do basic video editing and creating animated GIFs in Canva.

Bit.ly
Long URLs can be tricky to handle especially on promotional messages on platforms that have character limits (Hello, Viber!) which is why we use Bit.ly. It's a free URL shortener and to be honest, I don't see the need to upgrade to a paid plan in my case. You can create custom links for social media, email, or just about anything else you need to share online. Plus, every time someone clicks on one of your links there is analytics included so you can see where all those clicks are coming from and what content people love most. It’s like having an extra set of eyes watching over your brand 24/7.

- FREE
- Helps in tracking clicks in my social media and other marketing campaigns
- I can brand the URLs as long as the link name is still available

Google Analytics
Anyone who has or manages a website is familiar with Google Analytics. It's a free service that tracks your website’s traffic and gives you insight into what your visitors are doing. It’s easy to set up, so you can start seeing results in just a few minutes. And it works across all devices – phones, tablets, laptops, or desktops. You can even track custom events such as conversions, purchases, etc.
Once you know how people use your site, you can make changes to improve their experience (and keep them coming back). You might see something surprising about the way they navigate through certain parts of the site or interact with specific pages or products. That kind of insight is invaluable for making informed decisions about how to grow and optimize your business online.

All Hashtag Generator
All Hashtag Generator is a free hashtag generator that helps you find the right hashtags for your Instagram posts. You can filter the type of hashtags you want to generate. There's also a copying button so it’s easy to copy and paste all those hashtags into your post!

Ahrefs' Free Keyword Generator
We all know how powerful Ahrefs is and it's a very helpful platform for content marketers. Unfortunately, I don't have the budget yet to spend for a premium plan so I make use of their Free Keyword Generator which is powerful on its own as well.
Their free tool generates relevant long-tail keywords that are perfect for your business or blog. Just enter one seed keyword and it’ll give you seven related keyword ideas along with their monthly search volume and keyword difficulty. I also use this in tandem with Google's Keyword Planner but I prefer Ahrefs' summarized version of long-tail keywords.
Why I use Ahrefs' Free Keyword Generator:

- Helpful in researching relevant long-tail keywords for your content
- You can also research keywords for YouTube, Amazon, or Bing
- You can also tailor-fit the keywords generated for a specific country
I've been using these marketing platforms for a while now and I can safely say they have helped me improve my workflow. It's always great to learn about new tools and resources for improving your productivity as a marketer and I hope this post gave you an idea of what you can use for your work as well.
