I have been alive for 27 years, and in that time I have learned a lot.
I got defeated at most but came rising up more victorious and motivated than ever. I lost connections and met new amazing ones too! I've cried and laughed, sometimes at the same time. I've had my heart broken in pieces and end up being content and loved.
Some lessons are more obvious than others, some you can learn from your parents or friends, while others come from life experiences.
Throughout my life, I've learned the following:
- It's not about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep on moving forward.
- If at first, you don't succeed, try again. If you failed again, optimize what you did and learn from that experience.
- A bit of fear and nervousness can do you good but if it sets you back from doing something, learn to forecast at a positive outlook.
- Just do it. You will never know until you try.
- A watched pot takes too long to boil.
- There is no such thing as "too late" or "too early".
- Change what you can. If you can't change it, change your perspective on it. Don't get caught up in trying to control everything because there are just some things that we have no say over.
- The grass is always greener on the other side...
- You can always take your skills and knowledge to the next level. Living in the information era makes it easier for us to upskill and learn new things.
- Life isn't fair sometimes - don’t let the cards stacked against you by getting caught up in negative thoughts or emotions. Just try your best no matter what happens.
- Sometimes it takes a strong push to make something happen.
- Allow yourself room to grow and understand that learning curves are a part of that process.
- Always keep an open mind, be willing to learn from your mistakes, ask questions when necessary, don't take things too seriously all the time because life is meant for a living.
Life lessons are never over - there is always something new to learn every day!
Funny quick story. I search myph. I understood Social Mom. But what is a myph I wondered? Then it occurred to me. Mommy from the Philippines. Don't know which will come first, the chicken or the egg? Will I talk to you first in our interview? Or will you see this first, while you wonder, who is this guy? Either way, you're right, from as early as you first blog post here from September 2021 (nearly 3 1/2 years ago, before misinformation was such a coloquial term), we all should never stop learning Life Lessons.
ReplyDeleteI hope the "clearer market" for your reset (from your current entry, just last month) will be Your Chance to Help Establish ISM as the preiminent supplier of Filipina talent for US businesses. And you'll help with that, not just as a full stack marketer but as a Key Executive and Company Decision Maker.
So this is what you meant haha. Obviously the interview came first before this comment. I only faced my laptop after recovering from the flu. And yes, excited where ISM can take me in the future (and vice-versa!)
