Five Things No. 1

Five Things No. 1

Hi lovely readers!

You know how people say you have to be thankful around this time of year? Well, this November, I took that concept way too seriously—by falling deeply in love with five things that made life way better than it was a month ago.

While everyone else was obsessing over Thanksgiving menus and sales, I was out there smelling like a sophisticated spice, spritzing myself to dreamland, and indulging in ice cream therapy. Because why not? November had a mood, and I matched it with full vibes. And these took the cake! Here are my five adored favorites this month.

Kenzo L'Absolue & D&G Dolce Blue Jasmine

Okay, let’s talk Kenzo L'Absolue. This isn't just any scent—it's my feel-this-power aura. With a top note of saffron that whispers luxury and mystery, there's the base of vanilla and white musk that wraps me in a familiar and cozy hug.

And here's the thing about signature scents—they're supposed to be subtle, like a soft whisper of, "Oh, they smell nice." But Kenzo L'Absolue? Nope, it shouts, "I HAVE ARRIVED," and lingers until I leave. People recognize me by this scent. I could be hiding behind a plant and someone would probably sniff and say, "Hey, is that…?" It's become my invisible business card; honestly, I'm not mad about it.

It's warm, complex, and makes me feel like the main character of a grand romance novel—or a secret agent, depending on the mood.

While Kenzo is all about making an entrance, D&G Dolce Blue Jasmine is for my casual, playful days. It's light, breezy, and the scent equivalent of throwing on a cute outfit that you didn't agonize over for half an hour. This is the fragrance I wear for errand runs or spontaneous lunch dates where I want to smell nice, but still leave room for mystery. She's fun but sophisticated.

Yes, that's me.

Magnesium Spray

Sleep? I love it. Achieving it? Not always easy. Enter my hero: this Magnesium Spray I bought from Tiktok. A few spritzes before bed, I'm suddenly floating off to dreamland like a marshmallow on hot cocoa. (I mean, don't you dream in food metaphors?) This stuff works wonders for restless nights and anxiety-fueled mental spirals, ensuring I get the ZZZs I deserve. It's honestly like a bedtime hug in spray form.

Otterly Fruit & Vegetable Sterilizer

I've accepted that being prepared is one of my love languages. So, yes, I have a portable fruit and veggie sterilizer, and yes, it's a game-changer. Whenever I travel or even book a night to myself via Airbnb, I'm ready to ensure I'm not eating any uninvited bacteria. I feel like a germ-fighting superhero with this little device.

Life's too short to worry about dirty produce, so here I am, Otterly obsessed and proud.

The Happiness Project Journal

This journal is like a therapist, best friend, and motivational coach rolled into one. I jot down tiny victories, dreams, and the moments that spark joy. It's less about looking perfect and more about capturing life's messy, beautiful moments. Plus, writing out my ramblings means I'm slightly less inclined to overshare with a stranger. Win-win.

Ice Cream Of The Year

I couldn't end this list without mentioning Ice Cream of the Year's Truffle Brownies ice cream. *Sigh*. If you could taste happiness, this would be itrich, chocolatey, and just the right amount of indulgent. Every bite is a celebration, a comfort, and sometimes, therapy in disguise. I've eaten my fair share of tubs this month, but let's be honest: it's the ice cream's fault for being so good.

November was a month of indulgent scents, sleep-saving sprays, and delicious distractions. I'm ready to see what new favorites December brings! What's on your list?
